Another week passed and I'm down to 2 weeks (or less) left in Brissy.. Well, for the last week, I had a pretty good week... On Sunday, I finally attended an Anglican service, the traditional service which is VERY similar to the Catholic Church. Of course there were slight variations but overall, the order of service and such were very very similar, except for the sign of peace was done before the offertory. Even the Nicene creed was the same (apart the slight variations in words, but generally its the same) I was tickled when I said "We believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic church..." in the Anglican church.. haha.. The readings were the same.. so I heard the readings twice.. Well I guess that's how some of their priests are readily welcomed to the catholic church, with similar service and such.. and that there were many joined/combined services and events between both churches... now i shall go experience the anglican community in singapore just for fun.. of course it must be st andrews where its traditional with priests and alter servers and holy communion and not some new age church with just a pastor preaching... I don't consider those churches as traditional churches even if they consider themselves as anglicans..
On Monday, Susan and I went to the drive through cinema over at Yatala and watched Toothfairy and Sherlock Holmes.. It was a very interesting experience, apart from feeding the mosquitoes (I swear they follow me everywhere!) It was like watching in the comfort of your own home.. well both of us were laughing really loudly, not caring about our fellow viewers.. haha..
Tuesday was Australia Day.. I had a barberque lunch over at Chris and Pauline's place (courtesy of Susan) and after which we went down to South Bank to catch the fireworks.. One thing that amazed me was that there was plenty of people wearing the national flag, in one form or another.. I wont be caught dead wearing stars and crescent out.. Then again, their flag is on a lot of clothing merchandises.. there was not many people over at South Bank compared to Riverfire.. but it was good.. and we had a really good view.. haha.. Susan and I were not that left out, we wore blue.. the Australian flag colour.. tried to blend in with those flag wearers.. haha..
The remaining days of the week was spent bumming around, the usual stuff.. while telling myself I need to pack.. procrastinating...

so many things happened this week... monday, 16 nov, had dinner at shijian's place and played with russell, followed by pancakes manor (since three monkeys were closed).. tuesday, a day where most things happened... since i was bored and the chemistry guys were done with their exams... we (dan and i) last minute decided to go to chermside (since they have yet to go there...) on the way to the bus stop (in the sweltering heat.. read that the highest that day was a mercury bursting 39 degress celcius), i saw some news crew and police... turned out it was a drug bust.. it was also the day i found out one of my grandma passed away... her 5 days wake/funeral ends today.. not that i'm mean but i'm glad she finally passed on... she wont need to suffer anymore since she cant eat and in pain... wednesday came... and well i went for steamboat lunch to celebrate the guys after exams... and went out for darryl's birthday dinner and cloudland.. cloudland is really nice... the toilets are awesome... perfect for camwhoring... the drinks were.. expensive.. and since it was darryl's birthday, we had shooters.. and he brilliantly ordered a drink which i found out was called cock sucking cowboy... -_-||| seriously.. it's nice though.. and not strong at all.. and since the cocktails were expensive... most of us had beer instead... so classy.. haha... meiwen dared darryl to get a girl's number and address.. and.. he really went to the chai and chat her up... amazing.. smooth real smooth.. too bad she's not intersted.. wahaha... thurs came and went.. and its FRIDAY!! whee.. friday is good.. its fun.. just because its the day of the newman and acsa combined ball... as usual, jean and i cam whored.. danced.. eat.. talk.. chill and tried to tie a tie for julian.. wahaha.. cant believe i actually danced the macarena.. well.. it was fun.. haha...

2hours! That's how long it took me to get to Bribie Island... Ok more than that since I left St Lucia at 845am, took the 855am train to Caboolture, and changed to the Bribie Island bus and arrived on the island itself at about 1045.. hey wait, that's 2 hours.. haha... The island itself is nice, well I only travelled to those parts accessible by public transport, so i was at the Bongaree beach area, where the jetty is, facing mainland and Woorim, facing the ocean (I think).. Nice relaxing place... maybe that's why there are plenty of old folks there.. and a retirement village... I actually sat down on the benches and "la liang"... enjoy the breeze... untill I realised I've missed the bus.. After which I took a walk around the Woorim beach... and pick sea shells! Michelle pick sea shells! ok that's lame.. found some interesting ones which looked like a slab.. not a typical shell.. maybe a bone piece? who knows.. I'm not a marine expert.. found a pretty purple shell too.. =D haha.. Oh oh.. at Bongaree beach.. on one of their information boards on the island's heritage, there was a spelling error.. so funny.. they meant to say tree.. but they spell THREE!! lol... Singapore should not complain on their standard of english since it happen to an english speaking country too.. hahahaah....
