finally had my haircut yesterday.. whee... a very very long haircut that required 3 stylists to do my hair.. 1 to wash 1 to rinse and blow and another to cut.. wahaha.. well i was supposed to be served by just 1 person.. but as the 1st stylist was rinsing my hair, someone just wanna cut her hair so another person took over to rinse and blow while no 1 went to tend to the other customer.. halfway drying my hair, we all paused to lo hei.. (very very happening) and to eat the lo hei.. afterwhich no 3 went to finish drying my hair and cut it for me.. haha.. total time taken? almost 2 hours..
ps: went to ajitei for dinner on friday.. it was... we got bad service by a newbie... so much so we dont wanna pay service charge.. BUT we cant do that.. manager however gave us 10% discount.. (no difference right? i know..) apparently it was not the 1st time that newbie got the orders wrong as when the manager asked us and found out its her.. he immediately sighed.. on the plus side from friday's dinner.. we had yummy but expensive mango and durian shaved ice dessert...

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!! from singapore... what a long weekend i had since arriving back in singapore.. 1st stop after arriving at T2 (i thought was T3 at first) was to adam road food centre.. BUT the nasi lemak was not ready yet.. therefore we went to ABC hawker centre.. the nasi lemak was er.. not that up to my standard.. haha.. next stop after going home to rest for awhile was off to ah bee ah gu place for lunch... and ros and i decided to walk zac.. fun.. haha.. we were running after him.. lol.. after lunch was obviously the very big feast of reunion dinner... 1st day.. went to some ulu temple in tampines for popo's tablet.. then off to jalan membina for CNY visiting.. afterwhich we drove into malaysia.. caught in the jam for 2 hours.. where we were stuck at singapore customs at woodlands.. so much so that the ica officer actually left the booth to get the passports from the cars behind us.. haha.. darn funny.. after leaving iskandar (the malaysian customs) we took plenty of detours and ended up on the highway which was the starting point if we went by 2nd link.. -_-.. what a huge detour we took... had yummy ramly burger ayam special over at machap.. it helps that we were hungry.. and once we arrived at kasap.. there were meatballs waiting for me!! wahaha.. 2nd day of new year we went house visiting.. happening relatives... i was gorging myself with cny goodies.. how not too?? cny is a bad time to diet.. lol.. played mahjong later with my cousins.. in the comfort of aircon.. wahaha... it was so hot over in malaysia.. that and we were so bored.. there was only so much goodies we can eat.. plus we could not access internet on our phones.. so much for hoping to use up my credits.. error message was failed to detect connection point.. -_-|||...

my last day in Brisbane... after 2.5 years, I'll be leaving fine ole brissy for good... I'll definitely miss this place... miss my lab even.. on the other hand, I'm anticipating my flight back.. in time for CNY!! I think to most Chinese away from home.. if they can go back for CNY they will.. well I know a fair number of chinese who are going back today.. or yesterday.. in time for CNY.. cant wait for the festivities... the 气氛.. its so quiet here.. haha.. like duh.. Lawrie asked me about CNY.. 1) is it a fixed date or go by moon? yup its go by moon.. 2) is it a big thing? told him its a day where families gather and meet? I think it's similar to how the westerners view christmas? a huge family get-together?
this is my last post of my student life... once I return to Singapore (and wack all the food... especially my Char Siew Rice..) its back to looking for a job and to the working world.. officially.. =(
