history repeating itself.. Germany vs Argentina in quarterfinals again for this 2010 world cup.. just the last world cup, they played against each other for quarterfinals too.. wow.. the germans trashed the english 4-1 yesterday for the top 16 match.. hooray.. saw the highlights and the germans were damn good.. damn fast too.. hence their new nickname of the bliz(something)... sneak attack of germany on england! haha.. that's so ww2.. which someone did compared the world cup to.. "France leaves early, USA came last minute and England were left to face Germany" so true.. and they lost.. wahaha.... 2010 world cup.. an event where histories were not made but repeated.. haha.. ps: i think argentina will somehow win because their coach is constantly praying...

the week passed by so fast!! just last week i came back from bintan.. sigh.. ah well.. i cant exactly complain since i did not have much things to do this week.. supervisor coming back on monday.. hopefully i can do something by then! it rained really heavily on friday.. (so much for wanting to wear some footwear that will not get wet) and yaya's room (the store) was full of brollies! of different colours.. haha..
and the downpour not only causes flash floods in various areas, it made us unable to call for KFC delivery.. -_-.. hence we went out to eat.. and a tree branch was occupying the pavement to galen's bus stop.. haha... ok i was being bored when i took the photo..
my boring interesting week.. wahaha.. filled with laughter and crapiness.. what tobias did to get fish crackers from me will be embedded in my memory.. haha.. never expected that of him..

I know I've been missing in action for awhile... What's so interesting about work? haha.. However, over the weekend (18-19 june) Rhodia AP had a team building event in Bintan.. great fun.. or it was better than expected.. I was expecting intense "team-building" games and less R&R.. BUT that was not the case.. as it was raining, my batch missed the mangrove tour and played bowling instead.. some colleagues were over the moon as someone *coughs cute french coughs* was in the group at the lane beside ours.. haha.. Rhodia AP (singapore) has 2 offices.. 1 at ATP (where everybody is at) and the other is at SPII (where the R&D people are.. aka where I am..) so far there are 2 people from ATP to look out for.. a chinese and a french.. although french more popular as 2 colleagues (1 more than the other) were quite flower idiot over him.. so anyway, maybelline (the lucky girl) was in the same group as the 2 eye candies for the team building segment.. where we played only 5 games? the finding people with similar interests as you questionnaire, untangle the web of game, 3 legged race, some betting game and lastly build a raft (i like that.. haha..) after the raft we had tea and R&R till dinner time.. which is like 2 hours??!!! damn relaxing... dinner was okay.. SPII table didn't really bothered to participate in the games (mainly due to us didn't bother to play listening games.. like back to school days..) after dinner i went back to the hotel room to relax for awhile before venturing out to the pub to "watch" world cup.. we left at half time simply because the match was boring and we girls were tired.. saturday was R&R free and easy till we went home.. ended playing sports (volley ball and water polo) with my fellow Rhodia colleagues.. (the female colleagues of mine at SPII will focus more on the water polo simply because i played with the french from ATP.. more like the 2 eye candies of theirs were playing..) so much for wanting to relax by the pool.. body were aching by sunday.. haha.. luckily the bicycle kiosk nearest to downtown east chalet closes at 7pm if not my butt will be aching.. i was at downtown east on sunday for family gathering... and after dinner, we cousins some how found our way to the room (to enjoy aircon) and ended up watching world cup.. before that, we were talking about world cup.. haha.. and since there's tv, we tried our luck for malaysian channel.. and lo and behold.. there was a match.. haha.. none of us wanted to pay to subscribe.. so expensive...

went to endau rompin over the weekend.. attempted to trek to the nearest waterfall.. turned out to be plenty of "challenges" not that suitable for those with coordination problems... some people were blaming the guide, saying he not as helpful as the previous one and some went as far as saying he don't know how to guide.. i guess different people have different ways of guiding? as some of us see it, to him we were fine on our own, helping each other go through the challenges, unless we really need additional help he will loan a hand.. (he seems to be a good guide for team building.. haha..) some also complained why he brought us to that path since there are like old people with us (again they were comparing to another waterfall) well that was partly our fault.. we just saw that waterfall trek as the nearest and since we have a day left, decided to go to the nearest waterfall.. our fault that we did not look carefully to see that there was slow 1 2 and 3 written at the "map of the treks".. long story short... we did not complete the hike as the guide told us (after seeing some of us having a fair bit of difficulty he warned us that it will continue to be similar terrain.. hence we all decided to all go back together..) along the way we saw leeches.. thank goodness i was lucky enough to not have them sucking my blood.. unfortunately, that could not be said for all those six legged creatures... which left me with plenty of battle scars.. conclusion: leech 0 : michelle 1; mosquitoes and ant countless : michelle 0.. sigh.. and that was the 1st day! although highlight of the day i'll say rosalind loosing her slipper in the river! smart girl decided to wear slippers in and as there were plenty of sediments.. it "swallowed" one side.. dennis and i had to help her search for it.. or as what aunty cat says.. we were paning for gold.. right.. second day was more relax as we were going back.. did water tubing which was fun and played in the river.. again we were lucky no leeches although aunty pauline found some on her.. and she was at the same place where aunty cat and i were.. she should so go buy 4d.. haha... while waiting for pickup.. we played my mini "janga" or more like the cousins played while the older folks played go fish.. poor papa.. kept loosing.. ahahah..

went out with the girls yesterday.. for xy's advanced birthday celebration before everyone disappear for the holidays.. actually only val will be gone on her birthday.. wahaha.. anyway we ate at dian xiao er and had plenty of birthday cakes... scrumptious dinner and yummy cakes.. this is life... cheers to 12 years of knowing each other! (well on the average its 12 years since we were all in the same class only from pri. 5)

week 2 of work and i'm think i'm getting there.. in terms of my journal readings.. haha.. i "know" how to get monoglycerides from transglycerides! huge improvement.. and after much thinking.. for the whole week.. ok i know.. it was kinda dumb.. the whole bloody reaction is reversible! so why did i crack my head trying to get there! its staring at me!!!! oh well.. better late than never.. the wonders of scientific research.. wahaha... went botanical gardens on friday.. to "run" and lik and i ended up feeding the fishes and swans (me) and rolling down the hill at the symphony lake (lik).. after which we adjourned to adam road's food centre for nasi lemak.. so what ever calories we burned (from running for 15 minutes) is gone.. haha.. the wonders of excercise.. haha..
