Woah... Blogger changed its interface.. Cool.. For now... Took part in the Nike run yesterday, which resulted in blisters (normal) and abrasion (something new). The abrasion hurts like hell and makes walking difficult. What to do.. The route itself was not hard, the only drawback about the route is the first 6KM where it was a straight stretch of road at roughly 2KM each (3 loops). Running in a straight stretch gives one illusion of running forever.. Overall, I think we did well (Aunty Cat, Aunty Pauline and Khoon Yong), with PZ and KY completing the run within their targeted time and CZ and me completing the run less than our targeted time.. =D ps: the finisher goodie is real cool... a thumbdrive in the shape of a nike shoe!
on a side note, i'm "pissed" at my sis.. i think i'm such an unfillial heartless detached selfish person that makes you just want to scream at me and if you can get away with it.. murder... and the world would be a much better place without people like me around... what depressing thoughts i have... don't you worry.. i'm not depressed or anything... i'm just venting my frustration at my sis and got pissed at me cos i didn't want to transfer the photos from some of my dad's SD card now (the ones that he took during my graduation) and he actually had other cards on hand so i was checking those.. and she kept asking me to backup them NOW and i was like later.. and she said they need it tomorrow when he need only 2 (1 to use and another as spare).. then she blew up and said since i'm so unwilling to do it she will do it and grab everything.. oh did i mention that i told her we might had already downloaded those files onto the desktop and she said dont have? i rmb she got upload those photos so i said it could be hidden files somewhere (a folder within a folder within another folder of a different name).. she said no and then blew up.. demanding i pass everything back at her while i was checking the other SD cards.. jeez.. i mean if the rest of the files on the other SD cards are not that important and can be deleted, why not work with those first? d\l 1000++++ photos is very time consuming... oh her parting words was that i would rather play the games on my computer than do such stuff.. *hence the selfish part*.. the cold war has begun....

What an eventful trip to Hong Kong I had. 1st day was pretty normal, Ros and I arrived in HK 1 hour apart (since we took different flights there) and proceeded to our hotel, which wasn't that far from the MTR station. A person with eyesight problems can even see it, with the hotel's name painted in large fonts on the hotel building. Typical of HK accomodation - small room.. my bedroom is bigger.. Ros met up with her friend Eva who accompanied us shopping.. Lucky we have her around or else we'll be lost and Ros wouldn't be able to find her shop. My first buy of the day - a pair of red Arnold Palmer's sneakers, damn chio.. hahaha... On the 2nd day, we went to The Peak and Madam Tussuade's. Apparently, there was a typhoon rating of T1, which the both of us didn't take much notice. Something that will only happen to me occurred at The Peak. I was doing jump shots and somehow I managed to land on my own foot - left foot landed on my right.. pain.. We took quite a fair bit of photos inside the wax museum and proceeded to do more shopping. 1st stop H&M and we got stuff that were not only on sale, it is not sold over at the SG outlet. Lucky us. We went back to Mongkok and bought a Yoshi plushie for Jessie. She wanted a dragon but well, no dragon so a dino will do.. hahaha.. Somehow, while we're at the Ladies Street, the typhoon warning increased to T3. The winds was strong (we saw papers floating about) but we did not feel much of the strong winds at all. Perhaps it was because we were "sheltered" by the buildings. While we're back at Yau Ma Te (our hotel area), Eva called to tell us about the warnings, saying it is raining heavily etc. We were like T3??? Rain?? It's dry here. Oh well. That night, Ros and I did not sleep well, kept waking up to check the weather as our trip to Disneyland depended on it. I finally gave up sleeping altogether and turned on the TV. Typhoon warning had moved up to T8, and most businesses and transport were closed for the morning at least. Bummer. We ventured out to "experience" the typhoon, which was not much of an experience saved for windy heavy downpour which we get them here in Sg during monsoon seasons. Disneyland was closed till the warnings downgraded, and we decided to go to Citygate instead. When we arrived, we witness a chase (security and another guy chasing after a dude who was running for his life) so drama, like we were watching some tvb show.. We wanted to do some outlet shopping but no one want to do our business.. sigh.. Disneyland was opened at 630pm but we were already back in our hotel and didn't want to travel all the way to Lantau Island again (we just got back from there), hence we went to Temple street and Ladies street again to check if the street stores were open. Sadly, no stalls were in sight. Seems like we can't do any shopping. Our last day was spent at Disneyland, although it was like 2.5 hours.. We managed to take 3 rides, watched a show and did some shopping and that's it. Seems like I'm not fated to spend a full day over at Disneyland HK.. The next time I go there will not be Halloween period.. bleah..
